| Season | May to September. The stairway is not secured in winter, and the boat runs less often out of season. |
4,444 steps is 740 metres of ascent with no level stretch — reckon 2–3 hours up and as long down, and check the boat home before you start. There is no road to walk out on if you miss it.
In winter
Florli is reachable by boat all year, but the 4,444 steps are iced from November to April and are not a walk then. The place is still a place to stay by the fjord.

Background
Flørli (eller Fløyrli) er en grend på sørsiden av Lysefjorden i Sandnes i Rogaland. Grenda er i hovedsak bygd opp rundt Flørli kraftverk som ble etablert i 1918. Flørli har i dag 13 bolighus og er blitt et turiststed som en følge av kulturminnene fra det gamle kraftverket.
