The ridge above Åndalsnes, walked as a traverse from Vengedalen down to the town — the Troll Wall, Romsdalshorn and the fjord on either side the whole way.

| Season | June to September. The ridge is exposed to wind and fog, and snowfields linger well into June. |
Reckon 6–8 hours over 10 kilometres and 970 metres of ascent, with exposed sections and chains. It is a one-way hike, so you cannot turn back to the car — check the bus first, and start by nine at the latest.
In winter
Outside June–September the ridge is a winter route: snowfields above drops, and the markers are gone. The bus to Vengedalen runs in season only. The Romsdalen gondola is the winter alternative with the same view.

Background
Romsdalseggen er en fjellrygg (tinderekke) mellom Venjesdalen og Åndalsnes i Rauma kommune i Møre og Romsdal. Fjellryggen består av flere fjelltopper nederst i Romsdalen. Den er tilgjengelig fra Venjesdalen, Isfjorden og Åndalsnes.
