In winter
The cable car runs all year, and that is exactly what makes this a winter place: the viewpoint over Tromsø without climbing it in the dark. The sherpa steps alongside are iced from November to April.

Background
Fjellheisen (English: Tromsø Cable Car) is an aerial tramway in Tromsø, Norway. The lower station is located near sea level in Tromsdalen, a suburb on the mainland. The upper station is situated at Storsteinen (English: The big rock), a mountain ledge about 420 metres (1,380 ft) above sea level.
